Position Summary:
MLU Services, LLC is looking for a Basecamp Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have a reasonable understanding of trailer mechanics (electronics, plumbing, general mechanics, vehicle repair, or related knowledge) and will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on trailers. The ideal candidate will have experience working with travel trailers, automotive repair, and/or generator power.

The successful candidate will have a reasonable understanding of trailer mechanics (electronics, plumbing, general mechanics, vehicle repair, or related knowledge) and will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on trailers. The ideal candidate will have experience working with travel trailers, automotive repair, and/or generator power.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Perform daily maintenance on trailers and vehicles according to repair schedules or when assigned.
- Knowledge in working with plumbing, general repairs, and electrical.
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
- Ability to maintain team communication and teamwork before, during and after operations.
- Being deployed during emergencies and disasters to support basecamp set-up and daily operations.
- Ability to drive and maneuver trailers effectively.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Follow and adhere to chain of command structure.
- Strong knowledge of travel trailers, automotive mechanics and electronic systems.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with maintenance tools, parts, etc.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be adaptable to performing under stress when confronted with emergency situations.
- Fill multiple roles by multitasking during basecamp operations to support. May be asked to perform duties outside of normal scope of duty.
- Willingness to learn, follow directions, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to maneuver trailers inside and outside.
- Forklift and/or skid steer operations a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience working as a maintenance technician preferred.
- Effectively communicate verbally with all levels of staff, working independently and in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Maintain a clean driving record and be able to safely pull trailers to and from locations as needed.
Preferred Certifications:
- OSHA 30 (General Industry or Construction Safety).
- OSHA 10 (General Industry or Construction Safety).
- Commercial driver’s license, Class A.
- Forklift training certificate.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift over 50+ pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Be deployable for a week or more when basecamp operations are initiated.
