The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and improving the flow of materials, goods, and information throughout the supply chain. This role ensures on-time delivery, accurate inventory levels, and efficient transportation, while supporting cross-functional teams to meet operational and customer requirements.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Supply Chain Coordination
Manage end-to-end logistics activities including shipping, receiving, transportation, and distribution.
Monitor inbound and outbound schedules to prevent delays and resolve operational bottlenecks.
Inventory & Materials Management
Track inventory levels, reconcile discrepancies, and support cycle counts.
Partner with warehouse and not-for-profit teams to maintain accurate stock levels and support timely replenishment.
Assist in implementing inventory control procedures to reduce waste and improve accuracy.
Documentation & Compliance
Prepare and maintain shipping documents, invoices, and related records.
Maintain accurate data in logistics systems, inventory platforms, and tracking tools.
Vendor & Carrier Management
Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective transport.
Resolve delivery issues or discrepancies with vendors and carriers.
2–4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, distribution, or related field.
Proficiency with logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control principles.
Physical & Work Requirements
Ability to lift up to 25–40 lbs as needed.
May require occasional overtime or support during peak operational periods.
Work environment may include office, warehouse, or production floor settings.
