Position Summary: The Broadband Program Manager will lead broadband initiatives, including infrastructure development and digital equity programs. This role requires strategic leadership with deep knowledge of broadband technology, policy, and regulatory frameworks, including state and federal funding mechanisms. The Program Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate activities to ensure the successful implementation of broadband projects, achieving goals within specified timelines and budgets. Strong project management skills, collaboration with diverse stakeholders, and a proven track record in delivering large-scale broadband initiatives are essential.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include: 1. Project Management and Planning:
Define project scope, schedules, and resource needs to achieve strategic goals.
Develop and manage work plans, staffing, and resources to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
Oversee daily functions, coordinate staff, and drive efforts to enhance office processes.
Lead the creation of project roadmaps, manage resources, and track progress against key milestones.
Prepare and review reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity in project documentation.
2. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
Ensure compliance with both state and federal regulations, aligning programs with established policies.
Develop and implement policies and workflows for efficient grant management and operations.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance and alignment with objectives.
Provide expert guidance on broadband technologies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
3. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
Build and maintain client relationships to ensure project satisfaction and alignment with objectives.
Act as a primary point of contact for resolving issues or conflicts during program execution.
Collaborate with leadership on risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and performance analysis.
Facilitate communication between internal teams, clients, and regulatory bodies to align on project goals.
4. Financial and Risk Management:
Oversee project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Monitor project financials, including risk assessment and performance analysis.
Stay current on advancements in broadband technology and integrate them into project planning.
5. Additional Responsibilities:
Occasionally travel as needed to support project execution and client engagements.
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or 7-10 years of project management experience.
Proven experience in managing complex broadband projects from inception to completion.
Strong understanding of broadband technologies, federal funding programs, and regulatory frameworks.
