Position Summary: We have an opportunity for talented Debris Project Managers with strong debris monitoring operations experience to join our Tidal Basin team. When deployed, these positions will be responsible for managing projects and overseeing hauling contractors to ensure all debris is properly removed according to local, state, and federal regulations. When not deployed, these positions will assist Response leadership in growing Tidal Basin’s Debris Monitoring business, including business development tasks, client meetings, and other administrative tasks assigned.
Working at the direction of the Director, Response (Debris), the Project Manager will be knowledgeable about eligibility and special conditions in the Public Assistance Category A Debris Removal Program, manage clients and contract growth, oversee debris management and monitoring projects, and manage assets and resources.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
Coordinate pre-event activities with the client and stakeholders and ensure required information is obtained from the client for operational planning.
Communicate with the client throughout the project, including regular meetings and reporting as requested and/or required by the contract.
Ensure professional, courteous, and respectful treatment of city or county officials, residents, contractors, managerial personnel, and fellow employees.
Manage and ensure performance of subcontractors and Tidal Basin personnel.
Ensure all work is performed safely.
Ensure all work performed is in accordance with Tidal Basin’s policies.
Provide management of operations including monitoring project budget and overall costs associated with project, utilizing technology to facilitate efficiencies.
Conduct asset management and logistics planning.
Provide daily project oversight and quality assurance.
Work with the hauling contractor to make sure debris removal efforts are accomplished efficiently and effectively.
Responsible for communicating project status and projected timelines to senior leadership throughout the project.
Ensure client project documentation is in accordance with FEMA policy.
Promptly resolve any contract, performance, or personnel issues, notifying all appropriate parties.
Provide technical assistance to the client in all phases of debris operations.

Skills and Competencies:
Working knowledge of debris monitoring software tools and reporting.
Working knowledge of debris removal assessment technology.
Working knowledge of building out debris operations teams to support project removal timelines.
Ability to travel and deploy for extend periods.
Demonstrated project management expertise.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
Ability to manage costs, staffing, scheduling, and risk across multiple projects.
Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across diverse audiences.
Use project management and communication skills to manage, organize, and prioritize operations.
Must be highly independent, capable of making decisions in a highly charged and dynamic environment, and skilled in team building and consensus building.
Ability to manage project budgets and create meaningful projections for strategic decision making.
Ability to manage client expectations, subcontractor relationships, and overall contract with client to ensure success.
Ability to understand, interpret, apply, and explain federal and agency policies, regulations, and procedures.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
3-5 years of debris operations leadership and project management background supporting debris projects, preferably as a project lead
Management and leadership support of debris operations staff on all debris removal protocols and safety standards
