Position Summary

The Data Analyst will play a key role in maintaining the everyday workflow functions within multiple systems for MLU Services.  MLU Services is a national leader in disaster recovery services with a long history providing temporary housing, workforce base camps, and associated wrap around services.  

This position will work cross functionally with multiple departments and external disaster support entities to ensure data reporting integrity to internal and external users. A successful candidate will prove to have strong ability to understand complex data as well as the capacity to relay such data sets within the reporting requirements set by users.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Evaluate and maintain data from internal and external stakeholders. Data may originate from multiple sources.
  • Compile and export reporting information from these databases into synthesized reporting products
  • Work cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders to receive and analyze data timely.
  • Perform reporting as directed for internal systems related to the project within human resources, finance and operational systems.
  • Validation of data sets from multiple systems
  • Complete data reporting responsibilities as directed.
  • Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Work with partner entities, subcontractors, and clients on data requests.
  • Complete all required compliance training on an annual basis.
  • Other duties as assigned

 Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Self-driven
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex information.
  • Dependable
  • Excellent oral, written, organizational, and time management skills, with ability to multi-task and work with minimal or no supervision. 
  • High degree of proficiency in excel including, but not limited to formulas, functions, tables, graphs, infographics, and ranges to present and visualize data.
  • Proficiency in other reporting types or tools is a plus.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or an equivalent combination of work and education
  • 1 year of work experience directly related to the job function or 3 years of similar experience.
  • Familiarity with post-disaster housing and wrap around services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in MySQL, Power BI or other database software (preferred)

Work Environment:
  • Hybrid role (office and field) with travel required to post-disaster environments.
  • May involve exposure to post-disaster environments and outdoor conditions.
  • Fast-paced, mission-driven environment with high expectations for accuracy and timeliness.
