The ideal candidate will be able to showcase their technical expertise in the Public Assistance arena and work closely with the Public Assistance staff to ensure quality product delivery to our client.

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will be able to showcase their technical expertise in the Public Assistance arena and work closely with the Public Assistance staff to ensure quality product delivery to our client.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Collect and assemble all necessary documentation to complete the project formulation to project obligation. Additional documentation will be gathered to closeout assigned projects. This is inclusive of outreach to Sub-recipients to retrieve missing information as well as organizing existing documentation.
- Assist client with "Work Completed" & "Work to be Completed" scope of work.
- Able to communicate with stakeholders inclusive of subcontractors on potential 406 hazard mitigation opportunities.
- Assist in communication outreach of any upcoming FEMA deadlines or policy updates.
- Potential travel when assigned by project manager.
- Report status of project formulations to project manager when requested.
Skills and Competencies:
- Must demonstrate full working knowledge of FEMA’s Grants Portal and can demonstrate use of Grants Portal previously.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills to be able to communicate with Tidal Basin project manager, project stakeholders (assigned Sub-recipients especially) and team members.
- Must have proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams.
- Work independently with minimal additional training beyond on-boarding as well as with local stakeholders.
- Dependable, responsible for their work, detailed-oriented, and well organized.
- Ability to work in a team when assigned.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to travel when necessary.
Education and Experience:
- 5 years of experience
- Have an engineering background, understanding and/or degree, or have a construction background.
- Have experience working on 428 projects.
- Proven experience and/or understanding in all aspects of FEMA Public Assistance especially knowledge on hazard mitigation and codes and standards.
- Strong working knowledge of FEMA regulations, policies, and guidelines.
