Human Resources Assistant
THIS IS A TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Reports to: Human Resources Manager
Position Summary:
Performs administrative support to the Human Resources department by managing employee records, coordinating onboarding procedures, handling employee inquiries, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Travel may be required as necessary based on project needs. This position reports onsite in the corporate office Monday through Friday.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for sending new hire documents upon offer acceptance including but not limited to onboarding forms, signed acknowledgments, identification for I9 verification, background check disclosures, pre-employment drug screening documents in a timely manner to ensure compliance with all state and federal requirements.
· Tracking timely completion of new hire documents prior to hire date to ensure the employee is fully onboarded by date of hire.
· Responsible for running background checks on all new hires and reporting any areas of concern to the HR Manager, or another member of the HR team as applicable
· Maintain compliance with federal I-9 and E-Verify requirements
· Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of all employee correspondence, including but not limited to compensation, HIPAA compliance, personnel files and records
· Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, company sponsored events, department initiatives, etc.
· Monitors and responds to employee inquiries relative to policies, procedures, processes, handbook inquiries, etc.
· Providing assistance to Human Resources team members in varying capacities based upon business needs
· Travel required as needed
· Perform other duties as assigned
· Complete all required compliance training as required

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to express oneself clearly and concisely, both in oral and written format

· Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Education and Experience:
· Degree: Associates Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Business Management preferred; other concentrations may be considered
· Years of Experience: 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in an onboarding capacity
· Additional Qualifications:
o Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
o Ability to work overtime including nights and weekends as needed based upon business needs
