Position Summary:
As Data & Reporting Lead you will work on a team under the direction of a project manager or delegate to perform as well as monitor project reporting and data management activities to ensure data quality, integrity, accuracy and customer satisfaction related to reporting activities. Your work would be instrumental in providing information to both our clients and project and program management staff that will tell the project’s successes, challenges delivering critical information needed to decision maker as projects evolve. 
The ideal candidate would be an individual with consulting experience, strong attention to detail, a self-starter, team player and goal-oriented mindset with a strong data, Microsoft Excel, reporting, business and critical thinking background. The ability to adapt to program changes, clear concise communication, remote and onsite work professionalism will be the keys to success in this role. This person will lead a team of reporting professionals, leveraging the power of data visualizations, and encouraging innovative thinking. The teams’ impact will extend beyond numbers as we shape the company’s analytics landscape.

Location:
This will be a remote position; however, you must have the ability and willingness to deploy to projects sites for at least 2-3 weeks at a time with travel being a possibility of up to 75%.


Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Client Engagement
    • Collects and manages information to support project reporting and mission.
    • Own project report delivery schedules.
    • Owns reporting and data collection function on assigned engagements.
    • Conducts and facilitates, educates, analyses, data to help depict project progress, ensure mission objectives.
    • Provides project updates to client and leadership.
    • Adheres to reporting delivery intervals and deadlines.
    • Analyzes problems and offers solutions.
    • Works closely with assigned business units supporting the data and reporting infrastructure, data, and care and feeding of reports.
  • Full Stack Analytics Leadership:
    • Lead a comprehensive analytics function, including advanced analytics, reporting, and data enablement.
    • Strengthen data capabilities within agile teams, collaborating with engineering.
 
  • Data-Driven Mindset:
    • Instill a data-driven culture across the organization.
    • Encourage stakeholders to explore possibilities through data.
  • Enterprise Reporting:
    • Drive the development of scalable, reusable, and repeatable reporting solutions.
    • Elevate the analytics understanding of the entire user population. (customers, clients, applicants, survivors, government agencies, internal departments, key stakeholders)
  • Mentoring and Intellectual Partnership:
    • Mentor and empower the team.
    • Foster curiosity and continuous learning.
    • Provides technical support and mentoring and training to less-senior analysts or data entry personal.
  • Critical Thinking and Impact Measurement:
    • Analyze data, identify critical insights, and make recommendations.
    • Measure impact quantitatively and qualitatively.
  • Database Experience
    • Deep understanding of different types of data storage methodologies in both a relational and non-relational construct
    • Solid T-SQL experience
    • Preforms data exports
    • Develops and overseas production data import routines
    • Performs analyses and data cleansing.
  • Visual analytics reporting experience using the following
    • Python
    • Power bi
    • Power query
    • Power automate
    • DAX
    • Git
    • Source control

Skills and Competencies:
  • Experience leading analytics product teams in an agile environment.
  • Leadership and Talent Development experience.
  • Understands business drivers and apply analytics effectively.
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
  • Solid background in Power BI (Must Have)
  • Advanced analytical knowledge of data
  • Experience working with raw data from multiple sources
  • Business analysis experience
  • Experience working in a source-controlled environment
  • Data flow mapping experience
  • Process oriented with great documentation skills

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, computer science, management information systems, or related field or equivalent related experience.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience.
  • 5+ years data reporting or related experience, including proficiency with analytical software. Additional years of experience as a plus.
  • 3+ years doing business analysis or related experience.
  • 3+ years database or related experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability, decision making, customer service, interpersonal relations, oral communication, problem solving, project management, quality management, teamwork, written communication, group presentations, group process facilitation, influence, results orientation, strategic thinking, and team building.
